Western Boyhood, Autobiography of Iver F. Yeager: Part I: 1922-1940, 2010
Scope and Contents
The Yeager family papers collection consists primarily of correspondence between Iver and his parents during his college years at Macalaster during the early 1940s; Iver and his future wife Natalee during his time in the Navy during and after World War II; and Ruth Yeager, Iver and Natalee's daughter, and her parents during her time at Macalester in the early 1970s. These letters number in the hundreds, but have been transcribed and put into book form by Ruth for ease of reading.
The collection also contains a small amount of Macalester ephemera and documents, most importantly memos and letters concerning the housing of U.S. military personnel at Macalester College during the war.
