This collection contains Medieval folios spanning an approximately 500 year period from 1100 to 1600 ce. These folios were purchased from private sellers for use in research and instruction at Macalester College.

Historical Note
A folio from the Book of Joshua, the sixth book in the Hebrew Bible and the Christian Old Testament, and the first book of the Deuteronomistic history, the story of Israel from the conquest of Canaan to the Babylonian exile, written in Gothic text miniscule (Pearl Gothic), from early 13th century France.
