This collection contains Medieval folios spanning an approximately 500 year period from 1100 to 1600 ce. These folios were purchased from private sellers for use in research and instruction at Macalester College.

Historical Note

Folio from a Passionale (a book of stories of martyrs which was read from during the early morning prayer services of canons, monks and nuns) in Dutch, printed in Gouda, Netherlands by Gerard de Leeuw in 1480.

From the Collection: 2 Linear Feet (1 flat boxes with artifacts in numbered poly sleeves labeled as "Folders" for purposes of arrangement.)
