This collection contains Medieval folios spanning an approximately 500 year period from 1100 to 1600 ce. These folios were purchased from private sellers for use in research and instruction at Macalester College.

Historical Note

Der Werlt Blat, a compilation of sacred and profaned history, was the most elaborate printed book of its time illustrated with more than 1800 woodcuts. Possibly a later reproduction as earlier versions were colored.

From the Collection: 2 Linear Feet (1 flat boxes with artifacts in numbered poly sleeves labeled as "Folders" for purposes of arrangement.)
