Historical Note
This doll belonged to Lillian Allen, a graduate of the Miss Woods School at Macalester, who used it while teaching young children at a school in Minneapolis. She later passed the doll along in 1958 to Harriet Borg Laborde, a fellow teacher who continued to use the doll for many years in her classes. Harriet has now passed the doll back to Macalester College for preservation.
