Biographical Note
Dr. John Carey Acheson was president of the Pennsylvania College for Women from January 1915 until his resignation in 1922. Formerly he was president of the Kentucky College for Woman in Danville. He had also served three years as vice president of the YMCA International Convention of North America. In 1926 he became president of Macalester College in St. Paul, MN until his death in 1937.
