The Macalester Women's Collective / Mac Feminists records which span from 1975 to 1991 contain event materials, publications, articles, correspondence, and petitions from the two student organizations pertaining to women's rights on a local and global level.

The Edward Duffield Neill papers which date from 1838 to 1976 consists of correspondence, articles and publications, photography, professional materials, and ephemera from his life. Much of the correspondence collected are copies of letters of which the originals (and other unique materials) reside within the Minnesota Historical Society's Edward D. Neill and family papers.

Abstract

This collection documents the establishment, administration, and activities of the Macalester College chapter of Phi Beta Kappa. Materials include correspondence, constitutions and bylaws, membership records, meeting minutes, reports to the United Chapters of Phi Beta Kappa, and promotional materials. The collection also contains records relating to the Phi Beta Kappa Visiting Scholar Program, including speaker biographies, photographs, event programs, and correspondence.

Abstract James Wallace (1850–1939) was a scholar, educator, and president of Macalester College whose leadership shaped the institution’s early growth. A graduate of Wooster University, he joined Macalester in 1887 to teach Greek and Bible Studies, publishing a noted translation of Xenophon’s Anabasis.
